Safety by default
Child profiles use nicknames, privacy-friendly settings and age-appropriate experiences by default. Children should never enter their full name, school, address, phone number or other identifying information.
// CHILD PROTECTION
Nitro-Blaster is a family-built learning game. We are designing it with children’s best interests, privacy, wellbeing and dignity in mind, and we are committed to improving as international guidance and expectations develop.
// OUR DESIGN PRINCIPLES
Child profiles use nicknames, privacy-friendly settings and age-appropriate experiences by default. Children should never enter their full name, school, address, phone number or other identifying information.
Nitro-Blaster does not use paid mystery boxes, random paid rewards, prize wheels or gambling-style mechanics. Paid access will have a clear, fixed price and known benefits.
Planned multiplayer uses preset positive reactions and parent-managed invitations. Open public chat is not part of the child experience.
Accounts, purchases, multiplayer permissions, age bands and future cross-device profiles will be managed by a parent or guardian.
We favour short missions, natural stopping points, optional daily play and welcome-back messages. Missing a day will not remove rewards or create guilt.
Badges show learning and effort. Paid users do not receive unfair scoring advantages, and cosmetic rewards will never determine academic progress.
Before live multiplayer launches, reporting, blocking, moderation, audit and incident-response processes will be tested and documented.
We will listen to children, parents, educators and safety specialists, review emerging guidance and improve safeguards as the service develops.
// GUIDANCE WE TAKE SERIOUSLY
The Children’s Commissioner for England has warned that paid loot boxes can encourage excessive spending, feel like gambling to children and contribute to compulsive behaviour. Nitro-Blaster therefore intends to exclude paid random rewards entirely.
We are also working with the principles found in child-focused privacy, online-safety and healthy-media guidance from authorities around the world. This is an ongoing design commitment, not a claim that Nitro-Blaster has been formally approved, certified or endorsed by those organisations.
